Challenges
Gas stoves are prone to accumulating oil stains and water residue during use. A key challenge was designing a solution that simplifies user cleaning and maintains a clean work surface area.

Research & Insights
Users preparing Chinese cuisine often use methods like stir-frying, deep-frying, steaming, and boiling, resulting in more oil and water spillage compared to Western cooking. A gas stove suited for Chinese cooking should therefore prioritize superior cleaning capabilities.

Solution
By vertically staggering the stove’s surface, water accumulation is prevented from spilling onto the work area, streamlining user cleaning. Geometric shapes like squares and circles were also used to reorganize and distinguish functional zones, enhancing usability and delivering a visually harmonious experience.

Results & Impact
Through redesigned panel layouts, the Vatti Gas Stove achieves improved cleanliness and minimalist aesthetics, perfectly addressing the demands of Chinese cooking and offering users a novel and enhanced experience.
