In supermarket shopping scenarios, two common situations arise: bulky purchases cannot be carried on regular bikes, and driving private cars leads to the hassle of finding parking. How to achieve convenient travel without letting bulk purchases become a burden was the core challenge of this design.
Research & Insights
Electric bikes and the sharing economy are transforming cities toward greater sustainability. For medium to short-distance travel, electric bikes effectively replace cars, with electric power saving physical effort and commute time. Fully automated rental systems can also resolve regulatory challenges.
Solution
After downloading the Sigo app and registering, users unlock the bike by scanning the QR code on the rear. Alternatively, they can reserve a bike 30 minutes in advance. During use—whether shopping, picking up children, or picnicking—users can lock the bike and simply unlock it again via phone. Upon completion, sliding the wheels into the base station allows the system to handle post-use processes, including payment automatically.
