Challenges
As a maternal scale for mothers, key questions arose: how to differentiate it from traditional body scales in appearance and form, how to optimize human-machine interaction to meet the needs of pregnant mothers, and how to incorporate more humanistic care into product details. These were the core issues we focused on.

Research & Insights
We conducted extensive research on product structure and target user psychology. Our goal was to redefine the product’s color schemes, form, and interaction methods to better align with the usage habits and aesthetic preferences of pregnant mothers.

Solution
Distinct from conventional scale designs, we centered the form around the four internal pressure sensors, outlining the product’s silhouette with subtle curves to create varied yet orderly curved surfaces around its edges. This not only enhanced stability but also imbued the product with a warm, approachable aura. Meanwhile, the bright yet soft interactive display and color schemes were tailored to meet the psychological needs of expectant mothers, reflecting meticulous care in every detail.

Outcomes & Impact
The Famille Maternal-Infant Scale is more than a tool for tracking maternal health metrics. Its unique form and interaction design allow mothers to witness their baby’s growth day by day while measuring their weight, ultimately strengthening their sense of security and happiness.
